“Why did you start online dating ?”
“I started online dating at university as most of us were having our first foray into relationships and sex as tinder blew up really so we were all having a go at testing it out. I didn’t ever go on a tinder date so I’ll say that I properly started last year to quote unquote ‘get back on the scene’ after a breakup.”
“What are your 3 best tips for starting a conversation online ?”
Don’t just like a picture if there’s a message function.
Always start with something that refers to their profile
You don’t know them, always start flirty
“What’s the best date you’ve ever been on ?”
“Definitely the best first date I’ve ever been on was a tour of all the Christmas markets in London drinking mulled wine at every stop, got battered and it was Christmas rom com romantic.”
“What’s the wildest think that’s happened on a date ?”
“The wildest would have to be arriving slightly early to a pub for a first date, having a man start talking to me, saying ‘oooh it’s not for everyone’ and ‘wanna see some comedy’ – the date then turned up and we entered the pub. The man then immediately slammed on the window and broke it from outside and everyone, including my date, presumed I had riled up this man. That or ending a date with a kiss, walking one street and bumping into my ex, could have been a lot worse geographically”
“What difficulties did you find when you started online dating ?”
“I think that I hold a lot of validation for my looks and personality from online dating apps and I had to learn to unpick that and realise hey sometimes there just aren’t that many matches or you aren’t on a hot streak and don’t take it to heart. And trying to be funny way too early via message. I really got basically no matches when I first started using them seriously, and I had mates getting dates all the time. I think I was just using outdated pictures and generic prompts that I thought were clever, and presumed maybe apps aren’t for me. But I just needed a rejuvenation of the profile from a couple pros (my whore mates) 😂”
“ what’s your opener on a date?”
“I’m boring for an opener. I’ve always found I can be a conversationalist about anything so I’ll just chat about how their day was prior to the date and try to learn as much about them from that off the bat, I have no algorithm or game plan.”
“It’s the first date what are you wearing ?”
“Nice shirt and boots or if it’s winter slap on anything cable knit”
“What’s your perfect date scenario”
“Perfect date for me is simply going for a drink at the pub and not realising 6 hours have flown by because the chat was so good.”
“Fuck on the first date?”
“Yeah if I’m
Allowed to 👀”
“What’s the weirdest thing someone has ever said to you online ?”
“Someone asked if I was up for a cuck situation before a hello which I thought was a touch bold. Someone’s opener was once ‘are you Jewish?’ And I said I wasn’t and they unmatched immediately. I guess they knew what they wanted”
“How do you transition online dating into a relationship”
“I think if you spend enough dates together you’ll eventually have a chat about possibly going exclusive and then I think you’re pretty much in one if you’ve got to that point. “
“What’s your favourite dating app and why ?”
“At the moment bumble as I get the most matches, the girl has to message first which is a fun difference and the clientele have just been way more fun. I think tinder is to fuck, hinge is for love and bumble sits nicely in the middle”
“Worst pick up line you’ve ever heard”
“You know, you look like a celebrity, do you know who it is?”
“What qualities do you look for in people when dating?”
Intelligence, curiosity and willingness to jump on a dumb joke and run away with it with me until it’s gone way too far

“I went on a date with a dj they took me back to theirs and left me by myself talking and smoking with their flat mate for like 2 hours came back put on some heavy techno turned to me put their hand on my leg and said I’ve always wanted to fuck to this song. I left immediately lol”

“Why did you start online dating ?”
“I suppose in this day and age it doesn’t necessarily feel like a decision, it’s just what you do. As much as I would not like this to be the case, it seems to be the way most people find dates.”
“What are your best 3 tips for starting a conversation online ?”
“To be honest I find starting a conversation online incredibly difficult. I usually open with, Hey how are you? Which feels a bit basic.
Some of the best messages I have received start with a question relating to my profile, or when they ask me something interesting and engaging.”
“What are some of the mistakes you’ve made with online dating ?”
“I find it difficult to remember to reply, unlike real life or texting on other platforms online dating feels less real. I think it’s important to remember these are real people who deserve a chance and a reply. I also think a culture of canceling and being flaky has come about with online dating, we seem to think that it’s okay to cancel at short notice or not follow up on a plan with people. “
“What difficulties did you find when you first started online dating ?”
“The main problem I’ve faced with online dating is confidence. I find it really difficult to bring myself to go and meet a stranger and it brings up a lot of anxieties and fears.
Another difficulty is finding people, I find hinge incredibly difficult when it comes to making a match and once you do have one it seems like nobody actually wants to talk.”
“What’s your opener on a date ?”
“I like to start by talking about our lives, asking someone what they’ve done that day usually works to break the ice. Usually you have spoken a bit before so you know what to ask them about.”
“What do you find most awkward about dating online ?”
“I find it to be a bit embarrassing, you are two people who have resorted to an app to find someone to date. It’s also very awkward when you go on a date with someone and discover you don’t get on well or there’s no chemistry, especially if they seem to think the opposite. “
“What would you wear on a first date?”
“I don’t like to dress up too much for dates, I don’t want it to look like I’ve tried really hard. I’ll usually go for something casual on the bottom and a nice top.”
“What’s your perfect date scenario ?”
“I love drinks at a pub, especially if there’s a pool table”
“Fuck on the first date ?”
“Why not”
“What’s the weirdest thing someones ever said to you online ?”
“I find Feeld brings out the freakiest people, sometimes it’s straight into ‘I want to lick your toes’ or ‘nice tits’”
“How do you transition a date into a relationship ?”
“I’m not interested in a relationship but I guess if I was it would be less about forcefully transitioning and more about looking for someone who it just happens naturally with.”
“What’s your favorite dating apps and why ?”
“Right now I love feeld because it’s easy, people are mainly on there to date casually and that’s exactly what I want right now”
