HOMEGOING- BY YAA GYASI

Homegoing might just be one of the most beautiful books i’ve ever read. spanning over 300 years. Each chapter is a new generation. the book begins in ghana in the eighteenth century and takes you on a journey through history. this debut novel by yaa gyasi is breathtaking

TOXIC- SARAH DITUM

Toxic talks us through how the media and public betrayed these stars of the noughties. this book is perfectly researched, describing in detail what these women went through and what was going on in the world around them at that time

HOT MILK- BY DEBORAH LEVY

Hot milk focuses on the relationship between sofia and her mother rose, it explores the relationship between mother and daughter, womanhood and sexuaulity, against the backdrop of a coastal town in spain. its a bit weird, but I didn’t want it to end.

BORDER NATION- BY LEAH COWAN

Leah Cowan explores borders and migration. an important read to expand your understanding of existing borders and laws and how they affect people.
